Advice for families who did not pre-order school photos

This page is for families who did not pre-order their school photos. If you have not pre-ordered you will generally only have the group photo and group out-takes to choose from. If there has been some communication that resulted in me taking photos of your child, or if another parent purchased friend photos and requested your child be included, you will have some purchase options. As I am set up to start with pre-orders, this can be the trickiest way to order as I have modified the store and there are lots of options to consider, please email for advice if it is confusing.

The main thing to take note of, as there is no mark up to prints (I only pass on my costs, not my labour), all image purchases need to include a digital download fee per image selected (unless purchased as a mini shoot), because this is how I receive payment.

This page takes you through the details of how to order, make your photo selections, download your files and the printing options available, once you gain access to your gallery.

Please take note of the date that your gallery expires, this is when all orders are due, and your files need to be downloaded by. This date was provided in the email inviting you to view your gallery. It came via Pixieset and provided your PIN and access code. Which images in my gallery can I download?

You will not be able to download any images from your gallery, until an order is placed.

Once an order is received, I will then adjust your gallery so that you may download all of the images you have purchased.

How do I add digital downloads to my pre-order?

If you wish to order prints as well place order at ITEM PSC instead.

All images in your gallery may be purchased as an individual digital download, including the group photo (purchasing one image alone is $15, purchasing two or more images are priced as $10 per image).

If you are purchasing a lot of photos, please consider the mini shoot options.

As you did not pre-order, your gallery will not contain as many images as a pre-ordered mini shoot would have included, however it may still offer best value for you, based on the quantity you are ordering.

For example, if you wish to purchase downloads of the group photo and five images of one child ($10 per image) you are better off purchasing a Mini shoot for that child, as these are priced at $60 and include all photos of that child on their own, the group photo and all group photo out-takes.

However, If you have four children and wish to purchase downloads of the group photo, an image of each child and one sibling image, this is better left as individual purchases as none of these photos come from the same mini shoot category (siblings, friends and each child, are separate mini shoots).

READ THIS IF ORDERING PRINTS: If you wish to purchase your images as prints do not also purchase them as digital downloads, the download is included in all print prices in your gallery. If you wish to purchase multiple print copies of one image, please email me and I will adjust your gallery store so that you do not have to pay for the download more than once.

TIP - Do this if adding individual images to your order

If you are adding individual images to your order, either to download or print. First make a favourites list of the photos you wish to include.

To add a photo to your favourites list, click on the heart icon on the image. You can create different favourite lists if you like. They can be helpful in narrowing your selection down.

Then when you get to the print store and need to select your image, use the drop-down menu (top left) and change from ‘All Photos to ‘My Favourites’.

You will then only see the images that you put in the favourite list, when making your selection.

How do I get my photos printed?

All print options available in your gallery include the digital download as a bonus.

If you opt to purchase any mini shoots and wish to have these images printed, or wish to use the gallery printer option to print multiple copies of an image, please send me an email and I will advise how to order this at a cheaper rate, as I will need to adjust your gallery.

If you are placing a large order print order you will most likely find it is cheaper to download your images and print them yourself at cost price via the My Pro Photo option.

You will first need to finalise your download purchase. I will then adjust your gallery so that you can download your chosen images. You will then need to upload them to the MPP website, where you have access to great prices, professional prints and a 15% off discount code for your first order.

You can use this printer for all your personal printing too. You need my account number (31610) to access their site.

All print options provided by the gallery printer will not have an ORDER ITEM #.

The printer will send them directly to you, so they charge a delivery fee starting at $16.50. You only have access to this purchase option until the gallery expiry date.

This is a convenient option to buy boutique prints from your gallery without needing to upload to another website. It is not the cheapest option.

If you make a purchase this way, you will also receive your images as digital downloads. You will be notifed when your gallery has been adjusted to download from.

I sell these with prints included. As you have not placed a pre-order it is difficult to add these items to your store, as the price varies based on what else you are ordering.

Fast track your order

To be honest, I am not in the season of my life when I can confidently predict an exact time frame for getting all of the orders out. The time frame varies based on what orders are placed, and whether anything unexpected arises with my young family, in particular if anything causes my youngest child to miss his own kinder sessions!

For the majority of families, kinder photos are a long-term investment and keepsake, and not needed within a specific time frame. But if you need your photos for gifting, or because you are moving away from the area, or any other reason, please advise me of the date you require them, when placing your order. I can get digital files to you within a week, (probably sooner in a pinch) but obtaining prints for you will need approximately two weeks notice.

Otherwise, orders are sent out as they are completed, and I start with those who have made the biggest investment.

I don’t use AI editing, as I am unsure of the privacy ramifications, so it does take time to work through the large amount of photos that I provide.

I am more than happy to fast track orders, just be up front about your needs and I will meet them.
